Note: Sounds like this explosion occurred near the time of that missile launch. This wasn't the missile, since the missile was headed out over the Pacific Ocean, but if the missile was intended to mitigate a gas plume before it reached the coast and exploded then this could've been some gas that got by, or it could've simply been another cloud of gas exploding in one of those 'mysterious explosions' that have been shaking cities around the world in recent times, sometimes accompanied by a flash of light. There've been numerous hydrogen sulfide odor advisories issued in the Salton Sea area this past year, the last one mentioned in the 2015-09-06 update...

Note: They say 'attack', but there's no evidence people were involved. Similar damage hit some cars in a parking lot in March in Limburg (Netherlands), mentioned in the 2015-03-14 update. In 2011, some joggers were out in the Pacific Northwest and it rained on them and they got chemical burns. Over the last two years or so, a number of animals have shown up with chemical burns and again, no evidence of human involvement. As hydrogen sulfide breaks down in the upper atmosphere, sometimes acids will be formed, and acid may rain down from the sky in pockets. As time goes on, that'll be more common; for now it appears to be sporadic but growing in frequency. Eventually all our buildings and bridges and roads that aren't destroyed by fires or explosions will be dissolved this way. If you're outside and you get hit by rain and your clothes and/or skin starts smoking or dissolving, obviously get to shelter immediately...
